Gardaí have begun an investigation after a number of threatening letters were sent to the FAI offices in Abbotstown.
It is understood the investigation comes after the letters which contained abusive language and threatening messages.
The letters which has prompted an increase in security at the campus, were sent after the association was found to have debts in the region of €55m.
Gardaí say they are currently investigating the incident.
