The city of San Francisco has become city in America to ban the sale of e-cigarettes.
In a move that will come as blow to vape smokers, the city’s Council has moved to ban the sale and delivery of vape products in the region.
Although a legal challenge is expected, the city could be vape free within the next seven months as the city’s mayor London Breed will officially sign the ban into law.
According to reports in the US, the ban comes amid fears of the effects e-cigarettes have on people’s health.
It also believed that anti-vape campaigners have concerns over how e-cigarettes target young people.
The decision which has it criticisms within the industry, will also come as a blow to Juul Labs who are the biggest manufacturers of e-cigarettes in the US.
It is thought that Juul who are based in the city are likely to launch an appeal against the decision.
