It’s ok everyone, no longer a need to be concerned as the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that an investigation would take place when Lisa Smith makes her return to Ireland.
According to RTÉ News, the Taoiseach said that an investigation would have to take place in order to determine her activities.
Although the Taoiseach did admit that the case is a difficult case, he reiterated that the Irish Government would assist Smith and her daughter given that there is a child involved.
It’s understood that Smith has requested consular assistance, but the Government has its concerns about sending its diplomatic staff to the region.
The Taoiseach’s comments comes as Smith and her daughter are currently being detained at a Syrian refugee camp.
