There’s been mixed reactions to the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar confirming that the 2 metre social distancing rule remains, and that there’s no change to the public health advice given to him from Tony Holohan and his team.
Varadkar said that a number of Cabinet ministers wanted to go with the World Health Organisation guidance, which states that a 1 metre distance is considered to be safe but the Irish government have ignored them.
