Varadkar: Non essential retail, hairdressers and hospitality will not reopen until the summer

Non-essential retail won’t reopen until late April or May at the earliest, and hospitality only likely to reopen by the summer, according to Tanaiste Leo Varadkar.

Mr. Varadkar has hinted at a ‘limited’ lifting of restrictions in early April, but no major changes are expected.

Daily new infections have decreased significantly over the past few days, but the threat of the new variants remains very real.
