Varadkar now claims relaxation of restrictions on April 5th depends on the suppression of the virus

The man who was Taoiseach and who’s once again in line to become Taoiseach in 2022, Leo Varadkar appears to be stringing the public along in relation to just what will happen or not happen come April 5th 2021.

The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has said that some restrictions could be eased on April 5th but it all depends on the suppression of the Covid-19 virus.

Speaking to Q102, the Tanaiste said that very much depends on hospital numbers, case numbers and the roll-out the vaccine.

Varadkar said that any potential decisions would be made in the lead up to April 5th.

He told the station that amongst the things to be considered would most likely be the extending of the 5km rule, the return of construction and possibly allowing more outdoor activities.
