The parish priest of Knock Shrine in Co Mayo, Fr Richard Gibbons has been cornered and caught red handed for welcoming US President Joe Biden to the beautiful Shrine today.
Biden has a lifelong record of voting for hard line abortion rights Stateside despite proclaiming at every chance he gets to be a “devout Catholic”.
The irony is that true Catholics cannot support abortion because it goes against the Church’s core teaching of thou shall not kill, alongside doing all that can be done to protect children both born and unborn.
Fr Richard Gibbons was called out on video by citizen journalist Andy Heasman who asked Fr Gibbons how he can welcome Joe Biden to Knock despite his extreme radical abortion views. Fr Gibbons appeared to be quite startled, possibly because he was very public in the 2018 abortion campaign for promoting his Pro Life views.
Fr Gibbons said it was “private visit” – but one must question how it can be a “private visit” when it’s been advertised worldwide that Biden will be going to Knock today.
Many Catholics say they will no longer donate to Knock Shrine as a result of Biden’s visit to the Mayo Shrine later today. As one social media user said:
“It’s absolutely disgraceful to think genuine Catholics can’t visit the Shrine today when that pro-abortion thug is welcomed by Fr Gibbons”.
