Wales have kept their grand slam dreams alive with a hard fought 18-11 win over Scotland in Murrayfield this afternoon.

In a game of two halves a clinical Welsh first half performance proved crucial as Warren Gatland’s side made it four wins from four.

Scotland who will look back and wonder what if, could have taken the spoils as their spirited second half performance almost made a home victory.

The Scots who will rue missed chances were much improved following their previous performance against France, but a strong display from the Welsh defence made sure it will go down to next week when Wales play Ireland in Cardiff.

Scores as follows:

Scotland 11
Tries: Graham (58)
Penalties: Russell (11,21)

Wales 18
Tries: Adams (13), Davies (30)
Conversions: Anscombe (14)
Penalties: Anscombe (24,80)
