An online vaccination portal for people aged 45-49 will open today.
It is understood that people who sign up will be offered the choice of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
According to the Government, about 13% of people in Ireland are now fully vaccinated.
However, many people have reservations about just how safe and even effective the vaccines are given the many reported side effects. Some are mild while others appear life threatening and are very off putting to some people who say they’ll never receive it.
