The current warm spell looks set to continue over the weekend as forecasters say temperatures are to remain in the mid 20s.
However although it will remain warm and humid, Met Eireann say heavy downpours and thunderstorms are expected over the coming days.
The National forecaster say that today will be the best of the weather with highs of 25C, but some heavy showers are expected in the south and southwest later today.
Meanwhile Friday will see temperatures slightly dip to 23C, although it will be largely sunny with a few scattered showers in between.
Saturday and Sunday will see more of the same with scattered showers expected throughout the weekend with highs of between 19 to 23C.
