The country is currently in the middle of an argument about the outrageous water charges which has divided opinion amongst politicians, but in the U.S. people are talking about water for different reasons as the state of Minnesota is about to open the worlds first ever water bar.

However if your thinking this new establishment is going to selling all types of sparkling water, you are way off as the owners of the new bar aptly named the “Water Bar”, based in Minneapolis, will initially begin selling public tap water and well water only in order to raise awareness about the problems of water quality.

“People think Minnesota doesn’t have any water problems, that we have so much water because we’re the land of 10,000 lakes,” Shanai Matteson, the artist behind the project, told local media. “Water is not something people think about, but we have potential water shortage problems and water quality problems.”

According to the organization’s website, bartenders will serve free flights of tap water next to an in-house art studio and “share their knowledge of water and water issues.” Their hope is to allow visitors to “taste the difference between private well water and public tap water,” reports United Press International.

And if that’s not clear enough, here’s the bar’s motto: “Water is all we have.”
