The recent spell of heavy rain has left many devastated communities across the country, with widespread flooding that is likely to remain for some time.
Over 2,000 homes and businesses remain without power this morning, after heavy rainfall overnight.
There are outages and faults reported across Malahide and Fairview in north Dublin, in Bannagher, Co Offaly, Kilmeaden, Co Waterford and in Westport, Co Mayo.
However, conditions are set to improve somewhat from today onwards, with cold but dry conditions forecast for the immediate future.
