The weekend weather is set to remain largely dry, after nearly 24 hours of persistent rain. Localized flooding was reported in parts of Co. Clare, where up to 20 homes were damaged.
There will be good sunny spells today, though outbreaks of heavy rain are expected tomorrow. It will feel rather cool too, as a fresh, southeasterly breeze will be predominant across the country.
The outlook for the coming week is for more unsettled, wet weather.
