Weather warning following winds of up to 100km/h

Met Éireann has issued a weather warning for winds of up to 100km/h expected.

The warning was issued for counties along the west coast including Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Clare, Sligo and Kerry late on Sunday night and will remain in place until midnight on Monday.

Drivers are being asked to exercise caution in case of debris and fallen branches on roads, especially those in the countryside.

There is currently debris on the M2/ N2 Dublin/ Monaghan Road northbound between J3 Ashbourne South and the Rath roundabout, while a tree is down on the Bray/ Greystones Road (R761) at Windgates.

It is recommended drivers take care while on the roads.
