A weather warning is now in effect for five counties ahead of miserable conditions.
The Status Yellow warning, which covers counties Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, and Donegal, kicked in at 10am and will remain in place until 8am tomorrow.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience strong winds, with the possibility of wave overtopping around coastal areas.
