A weather warning is in effect for several counties as miserable conditions continue
The Status Yellow wind and rain warning, which covers counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Mayo, and Wexford, will remain in effect until 11pm tonight.
The national forecaster has also warned of the possibility of tornadoes forming in some areas of Ireland throughout the day.
