The national weather forecaster, Met Eireann has issued yet another severe weather warning as snow and ice are predicted.
Temperatures are set to dramatically drop from after 6pm tonight to a freezing -2c.
This cold snap comes just days after the so-called “polar low” took grip of the country last week.
The Road Safety Authority has told motorists to take serious care as black ice will be on roads from 4am tomorrow morning.
Temperatures are set to rise at the weekend though with mid afternoon temperatures of 4 to 5c.
