It’s looking as thought storm season is upon us already with the incoming Storm Ellen.
Met Eireann has upgraded a nationwide weather warning to Orange status for seven counties ahead of the arrival of Storm Ellen.
The counties affected are Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, and Waterford.
Storm Ellen is expected to move across Ireland throughout Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. The national forecaster says that there will be very strong winds and heavy rain at times.
The weather warning will kick in at 9pm on Wednesday evening and remain in place until midnight the following day.
