Donnelly says Government is acting now to avoid full national lockdown




The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that the Government is acting now by introducing further restructuring in order to avoid a full national lockdown.

Speaking RTE’s Prime Time, the Minister for Health said the introduction of such measures are being in order to get schools and vital non Covid-19 health services back up and running.

Donnelly told the programme that the Government is acting now in order to avoid a scenario where restrictions would have to be introduced across the country.

He said that the situation which has gotten worse in the past number of weeks could become even more severe in two weeks or in a couple months time.
