A weather warning is now in effect for six counties as miserable conditions continue.
The warning, which affects counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford, will remain in effect until midnight.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience heavy rain and very windy conditions.
