Weather warnings remain in place until this evening

Unsettled weather will continue this weekend, with gale force winds expected in coastal and hill areas of counties Donegal, Galway, and Mayo.

An orange weather alert will remain in effect for these communities until 9pm tonight.

Elsewhere,  a status yellow weather alert is in place for counties Dublin, Wexford, Wicklow, Leitrim, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Waterford. The warning will also remain active until 9pm.

Temperature wise, it will be a mild day today. The thermometer might reach up to 15C in parts this afternoon.

A spell of rain will cross the south east of the country early Sunday, but it will be dry everywhere else, with temperatures of 8-11C expected throughout the day tomorrow.
