
Met Eireann is warning that cool and unsettled weather conditions will remain over the weekend, but early indications are for a return to warmer temperatures next week.
Today, Friday, will be a rather wet and windy day in many areas of the north and west, with a mix of bright spells and showers elsewhere, and temperatures topping at 16C.
Saturday will start off very wet across the northern half of the country, mostly dry further south.
Early indications show a steady rise in temperatures towards the second half of next week.
