There is little wonder this is the last year that the Web Summit will be held in Dublin.
Adding to the bad wi-fi woes, rip-off food prices will surely administer the coup-de-grace to the gathering, which will move to sunnier climates next year.
Attendees are now forced to buy “food tokens” if they want to eat, with each token costing a whooping €20. This tidy sum, however, will merely get you a “main” and a drink. A so-called “main” may just be a burger (no chips), and a soda.
People have rightly vented their anger via social media, and have expressed that any damage done to the Dublin Web Summit’s reputation is quite evidently all self inflicted.
