
A total of 193 new gardaí were formally sworn in as members of An Garda Síochana on Friday, with the highest share assigned to the Dublin region, reports Breaking News.
Of those newly attested, 141 will take up operational duties within the Dublin region, reports Breaking News.
A further 27 were deployed to the Eastern region, while 14 were assigned to the Southern region and 11 to the North Western region.
These 193 recruits increase the overall number of sworn gardaí to 14,661, reports Breaking News.
The latest intake consists of 134 men and 59 women.
Five of the new gardaí were born outside the State, with origins in England, Italy, Poland, and Spain, reports Breaking News.
