If you own an Alexa gadget, you may have had your day-to-day conversations listened to.
It has emerged recently that Amazon staff actively listen to customer conversations through the best-selling Alexa device.
According to the official spiel, the recordings “were used to help improve the Echo device’s understanding of human speech.”
It was also revealed that some of the recordings were actually shared through social media.
Amazon have issued a statement saying “We have strict technical safeguards and a zero-tolerance policy for the abuse of our system.”
More than 100m Alexa devices have so far been bought worldwide.
