The stars of the much loved comedy show Little Britain have come out to apologise unreservedly for playing “characters of other races”.
Little Britain was denounced as being racist for its use of blackface make-up in some sketches.
The hilariously funny show has now been pulled from Netflix, BBC iPlayer and BritBox because of the Black Lives Matter protests around the world following the death of George Floyd in the US.
Stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams both posted messages on social media.
Walliams said: “Matt & I have both spoken publicly in recent years of our regret that we played characters of other races.
“Once again we want to make it clear that it was wrong & we are very sorry.”
