There are fears of more violence in London in the coming days as Black Lives Matter protestors and other leftists’ groups are set to converge on the UK capital again while other such as ‘The Democratic Football Lads Alliance’, veterans groups and several football firms have vowed to oppose them.
The patriotic groups opposing the leftists, which include Tommy Robinson’s Football Lads Alliance, have said they will come to London to protect the city’s war memorials and statues which were attacked and defaced by BLM and Antifa thugs last weekend.
Black Lives Matter protestors gathered last weekend to remember dead criminal drug addict George Floyd and protest against the racism they perceive. The protests naturally descended into violence with dozens of police being injured and the Cenotaph and Churchill statues being defaced.
Police retreated from rioting thugs and allowed them to attack public property and Britain’s most sacred war memorials but now Tommy Robinson has called for opposition protests after he accused police of being “soft-handed” at Black Lives Matters riots.
It is likely however, that police will not shy from using force on the patriotic groups and that unlike the Black Lives Matter riots, those who are actually defending public property and war memorials will be pilloried in the UK press.
