After a period of calm and settled weather, a spell of unsettled conditions is upon us.
This week is expected to bring very wet and windy conditions, possibly leading to localized flooding towards the weekend due to the accumulation of surface water.
A Yellow weather warning over strong winds remains in effect for most of the west coast. Gusts of up to 100km/h are lashing the Western Irish shores at the moment.
The good news is that the jet stream will keep temperatures at a rather mild 14, or even 15C, for most of the week.
