What Irish homeless problem? Over 7,000 undocumented migrants have applied for full legal permission to stay in Ireland indefinitely

Already some 1,450 undocumented migrants have been granted full permission to stay in Ireland indefinitely with a further 7,200 undocumented immigrants living in Ireland applying for a scheme to legalise their status here.

As hospitals burst at the seams with waiting lists out the door, these migrants will have legal rights to stay here if they are successful.

The application has expired with the Irish Migrants Rights Centre saying that between 15,000 and 17,000 undocumented migrants, including up to 3,000 children, are living in Ireland when the scheme opened six months ago, on 31 January 2022.

But they fail to mention that there’s 10,500 Irish people who are homeless and left to fend for themselves as the newcomers appear to get everything and anything that’s going.
