What summer? Ireland is experiencing weather that’s 1.5 celsius colder that normal for this time of year

The summer will be over before we know it at this rate. It’s absolutely the exact opposite to what we experienced this time last year, and that’s no myth.

The national forecaster, Met Eireann says Ireland is experiencing temperatures of 1.5c celsius colder than normal for this time of year.

Today will again have persistent rain and low temperatures.

The outlook for the weekend is not much better either, as Met Eireann says wet weather is likely to be predominant.

Most of northern and central Europe is experiencing similar conditions with the UK having a wet summer and temperatures below par.
