The White House have confirmed that a virtual meeting will take place next week.
In a statement released on Friday, the White House confirmed that the meeting will go ahead although in different circumstances than normal.
It is understood that the Taoiseach Micheal Martin and President Joe Biden will hold the meeting on Wednesday where they are expected to discuss a number of topics.
Amongst the topics to be discussed will be the Covid-19 pandemic, addressing global challenges, increasing shared prosperity and Northern Ireland.
The news comes after the traditional meeting at the White House was cancelled earlier this year.
