‘White Lives Matter’ counter protestors embarked on the streets of London to defend statues around the capital and to stop rioters.
There were violent scenes as a large Black Lives Matter demonstration started around the statue of Winston Churchill in the British capital.
Crowds gathered around the monument, sited on Parliament Sq., earlier this morning. It is understood that some minor skirmishes have occurred between protesters and police.
