WHO say AstraZeneca vaccine should still be used so lives can be saved

The World Health Organisation has said that countries around the world should continue to use the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Speaking about the suspension of the vaccine in some European countries, WHO spokesperson Christian Lindmei said countries should continue to use the vaccine as there is currently no evidence that blood clotting incidents are caused by the vaccine.

Although Lindmei recommends that the vaccine should continue to be distributed, he did state that the organisation is investigating the reports.

He added that the vaccine should be used so lives can be saved.
