Many people on social media are questioning just why there’s so many young, fit, strong, healthy single Ukrainian men still arriving in Ireland despite the fact that they’re all meant to be fighting their own war in their own country.
Social media users are saying “ok, fair enough, we can take in some women, children and elderly, but why are all these young men who are well able to fight not staying put and fighting like the rest of Ukrainian men who aren’t leaving. Why are we taking them in?”
Single Ukrainian men have been sleeping in Dublin Airport and appear to be somewhat at the back of the queue for accommodation, but it’s a very fair question.
Another social media user said:
“If there’s a war in their own country and they’re well able to fight, why aren’t they staying there instead of putting even more pressure on our housing crisis, our social welfare and our health system?
