The Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrin Jakobsdottir, has moved away from any possibility of her country seeking to join the EU, the UK Express reports.
Prime Minister Jakobsdottir cited the undemocratic nature of the Brussels run bloc as the primary reason for Iceland’s decision to steer clear of the turmoil ridden, fledgling super-state.
A recent polling of Icelandic citizens has shown that over 60% are against pursuing membership of the Franco-German dominated EU.
The EU is currently wracked with internal disputes over its anti-democratic stance towards the member states of Italy and the Visegrád bloc who have defied the demands of Brussels.
