Why is that? Sparse reporting about just where accused murderer Yousef Palani originated from, what his beliefs are or how he met his alleged victims

Questions have been raised by social media users as to just what precisely has happened in Sligo over the past week.

Accused murderer Yousef Palani will be in court next Friday to presumably defend himself against the allegations of brutal murder against two men in the town.

But the main issue arising here is why there’s such sparse reporting on specifics and details surrounding the case.

Palani is a “naturalised Irish citizen” – meaning that he wasn’t born in Ireland but was granted citizenship. Such grants are given for a number of reasons, but usually because of migrant status.

Social media users have been pointing out that many media outlets have “buried the story” – meaning that it would normally be prime and centre given the gruesome nature of the murders.

Some people are claiming this is because the accused is said by locals to be part of a Muslim family. Also, he’s meant to be a migrant from the Middle East.

Other people are suggesting that this man allegedly specifically set out to join dating apps to meet his alleged victims. Could these terrible murders be part of a much more sinister crime, but that it doesn’t suit the State’s narrative that we’re taking in people who’ll be engineers, doctors, scientists etc.

People are questioning why stringent vetting isn’t being carried out on people allowed to come into this country. Why aren’t major tests done on their belief system, their religious beliefs, what they think about others who have different beliefs to their own.

For a country who preaches such “progressive” nonsense, it appears as though if a crime is carried out that doesn’t suit that narrative, it gets ignored as much as possible from those who are pushing said narrative.
