Male players at Wimbledon this year will not receive ranking points following the decision to ban Russian and Belarusian stars from the tournament this summer.
At the end of April, the All England Club announced that players from both nations would not be allowed to participate in this summer’s championships following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The ATP, which oversees men’s tennis, says the decision undermines players who qualify for the tournament on merit.
Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are among those who have criticized the ban which prevented world number 2 Daniil Medvedev from competing at SW19.
