‘Winter is over,’ according to Met Eireann, after registering a colder and wetter than average couple of months

‘Winter is officially over,’ according to Met Eireann, after registering a colder and wetter than average couple of months.

A spokesperson for the national forecaster said that the cold and wet conditions were caused by the North Atlantic jet stream moving further south than usual this year.

Still, Met Eireann is not yet forecasting any dramatic rise in temperatures just yet, so we’ll just have to wait a little longer.
