Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed that an elderly woman aged in her 70s was taken to hospital with serious following a road traffic incident on Sunday.
It is understood the woman was injured after her car collided with a wall on the Windgate Road, in Howth at approximately 3:20pm.
Gardaí say the woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
