A woman is currently in serious condition in hospital this evening after she was involved in a major collision in County Louth this afternoon.

It is believed the woman was airlifted to Beaumont hospital following the accident.
Gardaà say the two car collision occurred on the Carrickmacross road, about four miles from Dundalk near Cluskeys pub.
