Woman arrested in Kerry after cyclist dies in road collision




A 60-year-old man died in a road accident in Kerry on Sunday morning, reports Breaking News.

Gardaí and emergency services are now at the scene of a fatal traffic collision on the Killorglin to Cromene road in Co. Kerry, Sunday, September 3, 2023.

A collision between a car and a bicycle took place this morning.

The 60-year-old cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been taken to Kerry University Hospital, where a post-mortem will be carried out, reports Breaking News.

The 20-year-old woman was arrested and is currently in Kerry Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The road is currently closed as forensic collision experts investigate. A local detour is installed.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them, reports Breaking News.
