“I think I’ve done something wrong,” a lady detained in connection with the murder of six-year-old Matthew Purcell-Healy, a student at Waterford School, said to a local, reports Independent.

According to sources, gardaí launched an urgent search to find the lady’s car after she reported the incident with a neighbour near the Carbally Community Centre on Thursday just after midnight. However, the woman vanished before assistance could reach her.

The six-year-old schoolboy’s death is being investigated by Gardaí, who have stated that they are sure the youngster did not drown, reports Independent.

They are currently attempting to ascertain whether he died by suffocation in the automobile in which he was discovered unconscious at Rathmoylan Cove, near Dunmore East, in light of the conflicting findings of a preliminary post-mortem investigation.

It seems unlikely that the 38-year-old lady who was detained at the scene is medically fit for questioning, reports Independent.
