Woman attacked in Drogheda while she was out walking

In what’s being described as just the latest of a number of incidents in recent weeks, another woman has been attacked while out walking in the northeast town of Drogheda, County, Louth.

Various Facebook groups have been sharing information relating to various attackers or would-be attackers in the town over the past while.

One incident saw a man try to get into a woman’s car on the Peace Bridge.

The latest attack saw a man attack and rob a woman while she was out walking in the area known as ‘The Glen’ on Tuesday, May 17th.

The woman told friends that she was lucky that she was able to ring her partner to come to her aid as the attacker fled after robbing her.

Gardai are said to be aware of the attacks and are keeping an open mind, but many believe that the gardai have done little or even nothing at all to actually apprehend these dangerous thugs who are roaming the town.
