A woman was forced to watch her husband shoot her boyfriend before pointing the gun at himself. Gabriella McDougle’s estranged husband Jesse, shot and killed her boyfriend before committing suicide in Katy, Texas on Tuesday night. Jesse McDougle showed up at Gabriella’s house where she was with her new partner. The two began arguing, with McDougle then shooting the other man and himself within minutes.
The McDougles had four children together and have reportedly split up in the past few months after Jesse McDougle lost his job due to Covid. McDougle’s Facebook profile states that the status of their relationship is “separated”.
His sister Fashun Smith said afterwards: ‘What he did, it wasn’t right. There is no excuse. He reached his breaking point. It’s not who he is. That final moment in his life is a strange point.’
‘He didn’t have the strength to handle that kind of heartbreak. He cracked, he cracked.’ The man’s sister told KTRK that she hopes McDougle’s death will be a warning to others to reach out to loved ones who may need help.
