Gardaí in Wexford have confirmed that a woman has been hospitalised following a gas explosion at a premises in the town.
It is understood the woman was taken to Wexford General Hospital with minor burn injuries following the incident which occurred in the kitchen area of retail premises in the Quays.
The incident which occurred at approximately 9am on Sunday morning resulted in two fire crews attending the scene.
Gardai also say an investigation is currently ongoing and the Health and Safety Authority have been notified about the incident.
