Authorities in Uzbekistan, have confirmed that a 19-year-old woman has died after a theme park ride snapped whilst moving.
According to East2west news, the young woman was killed when the rotating ride snapped at the Istikol theme park in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan.
Authorities also say seven others were injured when the arm of the ride broke whilst the air sending those onboard crashing to the ground.
It is not yet known what caused the arm to break from the ride but authorities say it may have been the result of a mechanical failure.
They added that the ride was only installed at the park earlier this year.
