Woman recovering in hospital after being rescued from the River Shannon




A woman is currently recovering in hospital this morning after being rescued from the River Shannon on Monday evening.

It is understood the woman aged in her 30s was rescued after entering the water at Harvey’s Quay, at approximately 8.30pm last night.

The woman who was taken to University Hospital Limerick was rescued by members of the Munster Regional Fire Control Centre.

It is believed that her injuries are not life-threatening.
