A woman was rescued after her car fell off a pier in a town in the south of the country.
The incident happened in Kinsale, Co. Cork, this morning.
It is understood that the car drove off a pier at Kinsale Harbour and landed on a mud bank. The tide was low so the car did not enter the water.
The driver, a woman in her 40s, was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital, but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
