There’s now a serious taxi shortage in Dublin with many people on social media complaining about the problem that isn’t getting remotely fixed.
Social media users, in particular females, are saying that they’re terrified out late at night waiting to get a taxi to get home.
They’re saying that some taxi drivers stop, ask them where they’re going and that if the trip is too short that they simply drive off and leave them on the side of the road.
Fuel prices and night time violence are two of the reasons why there’s a taxi shortage at night, but many people are saying that little is being done to stem the problem.
