The head of the World Health Organisation Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has confirmed that he is currently self isolating.
In a tweet Ghebreyesus, confirmed that he was identified as a close contact of someone who contracted the Covid-19 virus.
Ghebreyesus wrote: “I have been identified as a contact of someone who has tested positive for #COVID19.”
I have been identified as a contact of someone who has tested positive for #COVID19. I am well and without symptoms but will self-quarantine over the coming days, in line with @WHO protocols, and work from home.
